Background
B1-711 was manufactured and programmed by the CIS for use during the Clone Wars. He was shot during the Battle of Kashyyyk by a bowcaster and needed extensive repairs, however, B1-711's repairer installed a vendusium crystal, overriding the droid's programming. The droid became more self-aware and when it marched back out into the field, it registered that the droids were just tools of war. They weren't respected by their masters, they weren't cared for, they were expendable.
Motivation
Status- 51
B1-711 deserted the Separatist's cause, became it's own master and decided that seeing as all it really knew was to fight, it would become a bounty hunter and shed the stigma of being a battle droid, accepting contracts under the name "Roger". Roger is determined to be remembered for being a skilled and trusted bounty hunter, removing any and all memory of its past as a weapon of war, not that there is much memory of that, as all battle droids are just model numbers. Roger aims to make a name for itself under its new name and improve its quality of life.
Obligations
Responsibility- 94
Travelling all over to accept contracts as a bounty hunter, Roger has seen that it's not just battle droids that are treated as mere tools, but all droids. All droids are spoken down to, their contributions to society disregarded and considered lesser beings. Roger feels a responsibility to shed the stigma of droids just being tools for creatures of the flesh and is an advocate for programming droids in a way that they can all be their own people.
Description
B1-711 is for the most part a standard B1 design, but had padded armour built into his torso after the damage sustained by the bowcaster shot during the Battle of Kashyyyk. During his adventures, whilst on Rintonne, Roger paid to be modified and now has a blaster pistol mounted onto his shoulder.
