Minder was born somewhere in the galaxy, but was found on the steps of the Gimm sisters' orphanage when he was just a baby. He spent the first 8 years of his life at the orphanage, at the orphanage he was never able to fit in with the other children and often spent his time tinkering with anything he could get his hands on. His time in the orphanage imbued in him a strong sense of morals and sense of duty to do the right thing. at the age of 9, having mostly physically matured, he left the orphanage to find his place in the galaxy. He spent the next five years surviving on the streets of Jedha City, making money and getting food by fixing various electronics for people. During a fight with a local gang, he got cut on his forehead by a vibroknife but was able to successfully fend off his attackers with the use of some of his gadgets. His mechanical mastery caught the attention of a Corellian pirate captain, named Drax Melde, who recruited Minder to be the mechanic on his ship, at the age of 14. Minder was a part of Drax Melde's crew for the six years, attacking corporate transports on a hyperlane into the Core. Minder was paid fairly for his service on the ship but mostly kept to him self and away from the rest of the crew. Over his time with the pirates, Minder picked up knowledge of underworld and Outer Rim along with learning how to disable security systems from having to disable different countermeasures on the ships they pirated. One day the crew found two children on one of the transports they attacked, and the crew was going to just kill the children, but for Minder this was the last straw with the pirates. He rescued the children from the pirates and they escaped in a shuttle to Jedha. During the escape Minder killed a few of the pirates and disabled the ship, leaving the crew for the Empire to pick up. Minder dropped the children off at the orphanage where he grew up and then went to travel the galaxy in search of his origin. Minder traveled the Outer Rim in search of his parents and more of his species, in his travels Minder learned how to go unseen and get past security and local law enforcement. Minder eventually came to join the crew of the Drabatan trader, Captain Kanaam, at the age of 26, after two years of wandering the galaxy. Minder now travels the galaxy with Captain Kanaam and his crew, going on various adventures.
