Background
Born on Coruscant, Teo was scouted young by the Jedi Temple and was raised there for almost his entire childhood. As with most Omwati youth, he showed great aptitude for learning, and quickly excelled at memorization of the Jedi Code and teachings. Also as with most Omwati youth, he showed great promise in the fields of mechanics and engineering, which he was guided towards by his teachers and eventually by Master Vol, an Ishi Tib Jedi who was a skilled artisan and excelled at the Soresu Lightsaber style, also known as Form III.
During his time under the tutelage of Master Vol, Teo helped the Ishi Tib Jedi maintain the fleet of ships and machinery that the Jedi deployed in the field during the Clone Wars. However, Master Vol's real focus, and the true area of expertise that he inspired in Teo, was in researching the ancient technologies of lost Jedi sects, seeking relics of the Je'Daii and the early Rakatan Empire. As the two traveled around the galaxy helping repair ships and military machinery, they also often made pit-stops at locations that Master Vol had pinpointed as potential ancient temples, exploring them and bringing back remnants to tinker with and repair.
The pair had only just returned to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant after an expedition when Order 66 was initiated and the Temple was attacked. After a chase through the Temple, they made it back to their ship. Master Vol was gravely injured as he defended the ship from the pursuing clones while Teo prepared it for launch. The pair managed to take off and escape Coruscant, but Master Vol died of his injuries not long after programming a safe destination into the navi-computer.
Teo arrived at the destination his master had set several days later, malnourished and traumatized enough that his connection to the Force had been significantly eroded. He found himself at a travelling repair shop/curiosities trader which was owned by a close friend of Master Vol, a Duros named Jaks. Jaks took Teo in, helping the padawan recover physically and giving him a new start as an apprentice mechanic (with all the background papers and identification that would keep him off the Empire's radar).
Teo is a friendly and generally nice guy. He isn't the best at the underhanded things sometimes needed to survive in the Outer Rim, but he's made some friendly contacts and has several regular customers as a mechanic, and they try and keep an eye on him.
