Elias Grimm was born in one of the less affluent underground cities of Sullust to a poor family of miners, being the youngest of four brothers. He spent his teenage and several adult years as a miner, helping to excavate the fuel the Empire so desperately needed to keep their control of the galaxy.

When his family fell on hard times under Imperial occupation, they were dealt with harshly, being forced to work in the most dangerous parts of the mines as a form of indentured servitude. Two of his brothers died this way, and when his eldest brother dared to question the Imperial Governor, he was taken away, never to be seen again. Shortly after, both of Elias' parents died from complications due to work in the mines, and at that point Elias was truly alone in the galaxy.

Determined not to die a slow, painful death like much of his family and friends and to take vengeance for the disappearance of his brother, Elias fled Sullust with little more than the clothes on his back and a stolen blaster rifle. In time, he would become a member of the Rebel Alliance, now fighting in the Galactic Civil War to free the galaxy and destroy the Empire...
