Ven was born on Shili, but moved with his parents to a small Togruta community on Rodia when he was young. His mother was a teacher and his father was a military adviser, who together had only one son but three daughters. The Togruta on Rodia were very close knit and the community enjoyed living on the jungle planet in relative comfort. However, one day one of Ven's younger sisters was raped and murdered by a local Rodian who later fled across the Arkanis sector. The suspect was linked to multiple similar cases and labeled as a serial killer. The local authorities were unable to track him down, so a group of Rodian bounty hunters set out across space to bring the serial killer to justice. As soon as Ven saw the holo news story about the bounty hunters capturing the criminal and bringing him in, he knew he wanted to grow up to become just like them.

Several years later, he signed up with a guild and got partnered up with a veteran bounty hunter, a Wookiee named Snoova. On their first bounty run though, Snoova used Ven for his knack at gathering information on the target and took the mark out for himself. Snoova even left Ven to die in the middle of a desert on a backwater planet called Tatooine after they found their target. Ven made it to the closest town, but decided it best not to return to the guild that had set him up with such an unprofessional maniac. To make matters worse, the pair was supposed to capture this target alive and turn him into a local "business" man. Unfortunately, Snoova had decided to turn the target into the Imperials instead. This upset the business man greatly and he is now apparently looking for Ven to exact at least some form of retribution.

Cause - Justice: Because of his experience growing up when his sister was murdered, Ven has a very strong connection to the cause of justice. He is motivated to exact justice on criminals that commit violent acts against innocent people. He has fewer qualms about violence against other criminals though.

Code - Survival: Because of his first bounty hunting experience, he has seen the great value in focusing on survival capabilities in the galaxy. Like most living creatures with survival instincts, Ven's fall back focus is on his ability to stay alive, but he spends extra effort to ensuring his continued existence.

Betrayal (5) - Ven was betrayed by a Wookiee bounty hunter named Snoova on his first bounty run. Ever since that experience, Ven has an aversion towards Wookiees, is cautious to trust anyone, and experiences high levels of stress when under similar circumstances to when he was abandoned on the job.

Family (5) - Ven's family is still very important to him and he regularly checks up on them and exchanges correspondence with them if he can. His sister's death is still very hard on his family.

Ven is a blue skinned Togruta with black and white markings and three lekku. He wears very utilitarian clothing and survival gear and typically does not wear shoes as is common among his species. However, he does not have the same connection to the Force that many of his species have.
