Background

She is the daugther of the Falleen emperor and a concubine and was sent to the Jedi Temple almost too old, thus she remember her parents a little. She is close to earning her Knighthood, even if she is young for such a title, the Jedi life suited her very much and she had took to it like a fish to water. Maybe because she remembers what it was like growing up in the Falleen imperial familly, she was always a peacemaker and her early teaching made her always posed and a great advisor. Thus she was taken in by the Order's best Advisor not long after she had come to the temple.

Her mentor was a harsh, but just task master. He wasn't the harsher master that could be found in the Order, but he clearly wasn't far from it. But at the same time, as soon as she was made his padawan, Sovaya was always close to sensitive negotiation and different races of the galaxy with whom a word could destroy years of negotiations. He always asked her to be on her best behavior, a silent observer, until she was around 14 years old. After a day of work, he would ask her to recite what she remembered of the day's negotiation and try to find solutions for what was brought to the table. After that, he would sometimes ask for her advise in the middle of things and she would need to think fast for a way to answer a particularly hard challenge. It was an environment that favored her personality as a soft spoken and paused Jedi. She learned a about observation and politesse with different races and arbitration, learned to listen to what wasn't said when her mentor was an advisor for a side or another to other negotiations.

Their last negotiation were the decried Treaty of Corruscan, where their hand was forced into accepting and bowing to the Imperials after they took hold of Corruscan itself.
