Middle Class Struggles:

Sometimes a character comes from modest, but comfortable conditions prior to entering a life of adventure. This broad category could include anything from a skilled technician, minor political official, professional soldier, or any other lifestyle that typically involves hard work—but with the pay to make it worthwhile.

Expertise:

The character wants to excel in their chosen profession and constantly practices to achieve perfection. Alternatively, this character picks a skill or two in which to excel.

Blackmail:

Someone has discovered one of the PC's dirty secrets and is using that knowledge for some sort of gain. To make matters worse, the blackmailer possesses evidence that could possibly leak out—a holovid, bank records, a weapon used during a crime, and so on. In order to keep the secret safe, the character must do what they are told, although the blackmailer is savvy enough to keep the demand simple enough to maintain the blackmail for as long as possible, generally demanding money or favors.

Phi had a decent upbringing and had a decent living growing up too. Her expertise in tracking and hunting earned her lots of credits by either selling the meats of her kills, or selling the heads or hides of the beasts she slayed to rich bastards. However, even though she was the best at hunting, there was one beast that she couldn't track. Teemo learned of this and offered his resources to Phi to help hunt this creature, and in return she provide him with the luxury meats and hides of her hunts.
