Description

Iteekcheg D'nec - "Teek" to anyone who doesn't speak Jawaese - is a proud member of the Jawa clan that operates between Mos Eisley and Anchorhead, scrapping, scavenging, and trading with the locals. Minor theft also takes place but the locals either turn a blind eye or have not noticied the sandcrawler's worth of things that have gone missing over the decades. Teek could spin tales and sucker buyers into trading credits for absolute junk (even by Jawa standards) better than most in the clan, but the simple Jawa life was just not fulfilling. Each night, Teek would lay under the stars, twinkling like shiny baubles, and wondered if they could be plundered. Perhaps he could serve the clan better by bringing the wealth of those distant stars to them.

The life of a smuggler came easy to Teek. After all, it was all about lying, stealing, moving goods for customers, and telling suckers what they wanted to hear to make some quick credits. Perhaps "Smuggler" is the Glactic Basic word for Jawa? Yes, that must be it.

The Crimson Hawk was Teek's ticket off of Tatooine. The Crimson Hawk was a beaten and heavily modified Republic LAAT that Teek purchased from a scrapper outside of Mos Espa for two moisture vaporators and a heavily defective HK-series assassin droid. While its memory core was removed and it was fitted with a restraining bolt, the droid went on a rampage that killed the scrapper and several locals before being destroyed by bounty hunters out on another job. Teek's first off world job had him smuggle goods from the nearby Andooweel system back to Tatooine. After returning to Tatooine, Karma caught up with Teek and had the Crimson Hawk drop its main engine, causing the ship to crash in the Dune Sea. With the help of the local Tuskens in exchange for most of the goods onboard, Teek was able to return his client's prize and began to earn a reputation as a Jawa who can get the job done.

The stars continue to beckon Teek but he needs a ship and a crew if he's really going to make it big. A pilot. A mechanic. Some muscle. A hacker. And anyone else who wants to claim a piece of the wealth amongst the stars. I'll be the silver-tongued Jawa to bring 'em all together and get the best deal on jobs. We'll be our own clan and I will make sure we all make it big.

Other Notes

My clan and crew (read: anyone in the party) are the most important people to me. My crew is my clan away from home and helps me gain wealth for my clan. Helping them helps me, especially if I can swipe something along the way.

I am a smooth talker. Tell the chumps what they want to hear while keeping it plausible. I once sold a Wookie his own bowcaster and managed to keep my arms.

Typical Jawa greed. No, my friend is not for sale. Wait, how many credits did you say? Deal! And that blaster? Well, it's not mine, but sold!

Still a business Jawa at heart. Morality and virtue means little to me. Feeding hungry orphans doesn't bring in credits. What's in it for Teek? Fine, I'll help the orphans but only if I can swipe something along the way.

Snores like a Bantha with a head cold.
