Embo Thranx is a Kyuzo from the gravity-heavy Outer Rim planet Phatrong. Life for the Kyuzo under these cirumstances resulted in the evolution of dense muscle fibres and fast reflexes, far better developed than the average bipedal species and especially dangerous against opponents on planets with standard gravity.

The Kyuzo have a proud martial history, and before he became a smuggler, Embo Thranx was a member of a fighting order known as a "clovoc" which maintained law and order in specific regions on Phatrong. In peaceful times, clovocs participated in grand tournaments featuring their best fighters to showcase their skills and attract potential patrons for their services. While participating in one of these tournaments, Embo accidentally killed an opponent and fled the planet out of shame and guilt for what he had done. Embo has hated fighting ever since, and now only engages in combat when absolutely necessary.

During his travels, Embo ventured to the planet Thyferra, where he was taken in by a Vatrix named Seeqov. Vatrix are the species responsible for the production of bacta, a miraculous medical compound that promotes rapid cellular regeneration in most species. Despite the Vatrix being indispensible to bacta's manufacture, a conglomerate of offworld companies called the Bacta Cartels controlled all the industry on Thyferra. Seeqov was a rebel working for the Vratix independence movement known as the Ashern, who had been growing a particularly effective form of bacta in order to break the monopolies held over the Vratix by The Bacta Cartels.

The Bacta Cartels controlled distribution of the planets produce, selling to both the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire, but with special Imperial contracts ensuring the vast majority went to the Empire which allowed them to control the market and hold the rest of the galaxy to ransom. Embo couldn't stand the injustice of this, and agreed to use his law enforcement experience to assist the Ashern subvert border controls, undermine the Empire and reclaim control of their homeworld.

Seeqov was assassinated by an Imperial bounty hunter after the Empire discovered what the Ashern were doing and Embo vowd to continue smuggling Bacta for the Rebel Alliance and anyone else who needed it, often stealing from the Empire's own supplies when he couldn't return to Thyferra to restock.

Like most Kyuzo, Embo Thranx has a strong sense of justice, and sees the injustices of Imperial rule throughout the galaxy. He is committed to seeing justice brought back to the galaxy, and he wishes those who have betrayed it to receive the punishment they deserve.

Dutybound: Embo has a deep sense of duty that he feels compelled to fulfill, such as military service, making good on a contract, or following some sort of thieves' code. Unlike the Oath Obligation (see below), a Dutybound character has some legal or ritualistic bind to an organization or cause making it extremely difficult or detrimental if he fails to live up to that commitment.

Embo Thranx is about 6 foot 3, lanky, with dark green skin and yellow eyes. As with all Kyuzo, his thin arms and legs conceal his considerable strength resulting from life on a high-gravity planet.
