Segrare is a 15-year veteran of the Republic military. He proved exceptional at the academy on Coruscant for his talents in large weaponry and military strategy. His approach to sieges and fortress protection was noted shortly after graduation when he successfully defended a small Republic outpost in the Outer Rim from an entire battalion of local soldiers with nothing but a handful of Coruscant Senate Commandos and a single blaster turret.

Segrare quickly rose through the ranks of the officer corps, further developing his strategy in regards to heavy weaponry, primarily on large scales such as ship guns. Before the Clone Wars Segrare had been promoted to Lieutenant Commander. As the Clone Wars began, Separatist worlds proved incredibly resilient to Republic invasion and occupation.

Along with a rather ruthless and insightful Captain Wilhuff Tarkin, he worked directly with Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine to develop the Base Delta Zero protocol. It's a code designed to completely obliterate all life on a planet -- vegitation, animal, industrial. It was used a last resort for must-control planets, but it is devastating.

At the time our adventure begins, now Commander Segrare had been captured by the CIS after his ship's admiral botched a transport operation. He is now held aboard a ship -- the Droid Army does not yet know his value. That value is known all too well to Chancellor Palpatine, who needs him for Project Stardust.

He is exceptionally devoted to the Republic. He has no interest in political theory or the ideas of democracy or monarchy or what have you. He believes in order and stability, which he finds only in the Republic.
