Orphaned as a child on Corellia, alongside her baby sister Jade, Mina was adopted by a Mandalorian named Talus, first name unknown. The Mandalorian pitied the pair of children, and having a good heart, decided he would raise them as Mandalorians.

Mina took to the training much more readily, and naturally started earlier than Jade. Their clan, so to speak, was small due to the fact that Talus operated alone, so he was the only one to train her. She excelled with light arms gunslinging, able to take the head off a Womp rat from great distances by the time she was only twelve years old.

After gaining her first piece of Beskar armor, Talus was slain in battle. Mina and Jade had little time to grieve him, however, as his killers also wanted their blood. Mina was able to finish them off, but not before Jade sustained a grave wound in the crossfire. Desperate for help to save her sister, Mina resorted to trusting Quirrim Redrock, a shady underground vendor of rare (and illegal) medicines as well as very potent bacta.

Jade was saved, but at a cost- Mina now owed the man a debt, and he decided to hold Jade for collateral while Mina worked to pay it off.

Mina is indebted to Quirrim Redrock, a black market medicine and bacta dealer who agreed to treat her sister, Jade. Mina refuses to endanger Jade again, so has agreed to repay Redrock for his service.
