Background
Kit Cano was found to be Force Sensitive and taken from his icy homeworld as a toddler to Coruscant. Kit spent his youth as an Initiate, learning the basic skills of the Jedi. At the age of 10, he passed his first Trial and drew the attention of the Rodian Jedi Leec Tru. Tru was a Consular, a diplomat and negotiator. He sensed great potential in Kit's natural charisma. Now a Padawan, Kit set out from Coruscant with his master, learning of the Jedi's role as peacekeeper. One year later, the Clone Wars broke out. While Leec Tru, like all Jedi, was a competent warrior, his skills were better suited to the political realm. Kit and Tru traveled to border systems, hoping to keep them from joining the CIS. In BBY 19, Kit had just returned to Coruscant with his Master when disaster struck. Leec was one of the first Jedi to stand in the way of Anakin Skywalker when he marched on the Temple. Anakin scoffed at the Rodian barring his path and effortlessly pulled Tru's lightsaber from his grasp. Seeing his Master unarmed, Kit tossed his lightsaber to Leec, hoping beyond hope that Skywalker could be stopped. After igniting Kit's blade, Leec turned to his apprentice and uttered his last words, "Run child. Run."
Filled with fear, Kit fled the Temple, using a sanitation duct to slip into the depths of Coruscant. Alone and afraid, he continued to descend until he finally reached the dark underworld of the capital. He was taken in by Gril, a con-man who had been a Jedi initiate decades before. With Kit's help, Gril was able to climb the ladder of the underworld, becoming a boss of moderate power. As Kit grew to maturity, he realized that life with Gril was surviving, but ultimately a life without worth. Much to the dismay of Gril, Kit fled once again, to search for meaning among the stars.
Motivation
Become a Jedi - Kit's thoughts are filled with memories of the "good" years, traveling the galaxy as a Padawan with Leec Tru. Kit feels that he has regressed the past 4 years, his connection to the Force becoming dark and muddled. Now free of Gril he wants to become the man he was destined to be, rather than the boy he is.
Morality
Obligation (15)
Bounty (10) - the galaxy wide bounty on former Jedi is well known. Kit has so far managed to evade notice, but it just takes one slip to draw the attention of a bounty hunter, or worse, an inquisitor
Debt (5) - while Kit may consider his debt to Gril paid in full, the crime boss does not feel the same way. Kit's considerable skills were a significant part of Gril's power and he has suffered without his Pantoran aide. Gril is very eager to force Kit to work by his side once again
