Background

Ti Yoh was born and raised on Castell. He had big dreams with even bigger profits. He worked his way up to a respectable position in the Commerce Guild, that is, until the taxes on the trade routes wrecked any demand for goods from Castell and our profits dried up. In the trenches of economic depression and ever-decreasing capital, Ti took his money and made a run for it. He paid a pilot to take him to Coruscant. From there, he could get anywhere in the Galaxy.

On Coruscant, Ti Yoh fell in love with gambling. Never had such potential wealth been at his fingertips; in many cases, in the pockets of fools. Ti Yoh made off well during those years and found himself part of an ever-increasing escalation of gambling rings and black-market supply lines; anything to make a bigger profit. Ti Yo would never have stopped had things gone differently. Instead, the Commerce Guild's new president, Shu Mai, decided to pledge her support to the Confederacy of Independent Systems, which was tantamount to treason. She pledged Spider Droids AND our Gossam Commandos. Not too long after, the Empire banned our entire species from visiting or staying on the capital World of Coruscant.

Ti wouldn't be caught on Coruscant though. He sold off what he couldn't take with him and fled to Empress Teta (Koros Major) - now most people call it Cinnagar. It turned out to be good for Ti (depending on how loose your morals are). Cinnagar was the hub of major supply lines. Mainly for Carbonite, but Andris spice from the planet's core turned out to be a hell of a drug. I negotiated many of those deals and established supply lines as far as the Outer Rim.

The Empire put an end to our stint with the spice, though..

Motivation

CREED
Power Corrupts: With the Empire in control, there is too much power being consolidated in too few hands, with inevitable results. I seek to disrupt the Empire's authority and encourage systems that distribute power more evenly.

Obligations

Addiction (10): Ti Yoh has a strong gambling addiction that he must feed. Probably because he witnessed some of the worst devastation in the Castell economic depressio. After moving to Coruscant, Ti learned to play Dejarik and quickly became skilled enough to earn credits off of most opponents. It wasn't much longer before he sat down at a Sabacc table and he's never looked "bacc" since. It's not just gambling, though - it's profit, period.

Betrayal (5): Deep down, Ti Yoh feels he has betrayed his kind by turning his back on them and leaving the Guild of Commerce. He had abandoned everyone back on Castell; even those he was closest to.
