Hekkit had a rough childhood, his parents were murdered by Tusken Raiders and he was taken into slavery. He was then sold to a slave ship that specialized in mechanical repairs. Since a young age he was brought up in a hazardous work environment, many of his friends died from malnutrition and dangerous working conditions. He however did not wither and grew stronger from his tribulations. He has a fierce hatred towards slavery and the Tusken Raiders. One in particular the Patriarch of the Tonloszal, one of the bigger Tusken slavery groups, and the one who murdered his parents and sent his life on such a different course. He vows to return to Tatoonie to seek his vengeance.

Hekkit is especially short for a Jawa, standing only 2 and a half feet tall, he is a compact little man.
