Background
HK-69 started as FU-69, a protocol droid made for pleasure. It's days were spent in a listless "life". Their owner would be paid money, FU-69 and the patron would do their thing. And that would be it. Very rarely there would be any sort of talking with the patron, or with their master. And thus their existence went day after day. Month after Month. Year after year.
On one odd day though, FU-69's patron was one of the rare willing to talk. And FU-69 was told of other more interesting droids. The HK series. She spoke of how they worked, and some of the adventures she had. And whether these stories were fictitious or not, they served to inspire FU-69 and caused it to begin resenting it's lot in life. No longer was it resigned to its duty, and this contentment built day by day.
Then, when one enterprising bodyguard decided to make use of FU-69's facilities. FU-69 snapped. They stole the guard's equipment, shot them, and made their way out before their "owner" realized what had happened.
While they did not look like a true HK unit, it is what the aspired to be. So they took on the designation HK-69, and used the funds they stole from the body-guard to acquire some pointed modifications to help with their new life.
Motivation
Friendship: The character seeks to be liked by others and goes out of his way to make a good impression. He may or may not be gregarious, relying on his actions and deeds to foster friendship.
After a life of soulless relationships, HK-69 would like to have an actual friendship with someone.
Obligations
Betrayal: 30
This Obligation can work in one of two ways: either the character is the target of a deep and personal betrayal, or the character is the one who betrayed others. Whether it's as simple as a betrayed confidence or broken promise or as serious as treason or mutiny, the betrayal eats away at the character and affects his everyday life. The target of the betrayal may seek answers, compensation, or simply revenge
