Background
Working as a moisture farmer at his uncle's farm on Jakku from the age of 6 or 7 Bastinado would eventually buy the farm from his uncle who had run up several large gambling debts and was being pursued by by several bounty hunters. Business was booming with a healthy contract with the new empire allowing Bastinado to expand his business naturally, never having to take out a loan or borrowing money after seeing what happened to his uncle. However 2 years into the 25 year contract the empire decides to to rip up the contract and purchase their water from the Commerce Guild who started selling water at an impossibily low price to win the contract.
After his complaints to the empire go unanswered Bastinado is forced to shut down the farm and put almost a hundred people out of work, not to mention the droids who now no longer have a purpose. He leaves his hime to seek out those responsible and claim full payment of the contract that had been agreed so he can at least pay his former workers some redundancy.
bastinado has no intrest in politics or in who or what is running the galaxy, he only cares about the little people, the ones who do most of the living, figting, working and dying. He hates that conglomerates aretaking away businesses who have existed for hundreds of years and have mostly put customers before shareholders.
Had a childhood friend Galli who just dissapeared one night.
Uncle's name is Toby Wye
