Relationship with the Empire: Justified Avengers
Born to a family of merchants, Vel spent his Teenage and young adult years among the stars, helping running goods and living off of stories of the "Good ole days" of the Galactic Republic (and the Clone Wars). Being at the wrong place at the wrong time, He was captured and impounded by the imperial remnant along with a group of pirates. Turns out, pirates actually pay pretty well when you can smooth talk your way into acquiring them anything they want. But Vel has always had his sites on working for the New Republic, and left the pirates behind in pursuit of a nobler profession. Since Venators are all but obsolete at this point, Vel hopes he can grease enough wheels with politicians to get him a full supply officer commission aboard one of the new republics warships or ports. This would make more than enough credits to help his parents business which has taken a recent downturn.
