Comes from a middle-class family living on the industrial world of Centares. Ikar comes from a family with a long tradition of venturing throughout the galaxy; members of his family have been traders, explorers, even bounty hunters. Thinking he had a chance at becoming a pilot with the imperial navy, he enlisted to join their ranks. Just as he was about to complete his basic training, news spread of the destruction of Alderaan and the subsequent destruction of the Death Star.

No longer wishing to be part of an evil dictatorship, Ikar leaves the imperial academy to look for a job as a pilot under the name of Kobin Garro.

Droid companion: His newly purchased ship came with a complimentary astromech droid. Kobin named his droid, R2-N8, Nate. He treats his droid as a true friend and defends him from others.

Overthrow the Empire: The horrifying acts committed by the Empire has lead Kobin to do what he can to disrupt their plans of rule and conquest. Although he's not part of the Rebellion, he respects their efforts.

Betrayal: Due to his sudden departure from the academy, Ikar has been declared a traitor and must now hide from the Empire. He didn't care to go home because he fears his family could become involved.

Debt: With only a few thousand credits in his pockets, Kobin out a decent down payment on a ship. He still owes the manufacturer a large amount of credits for the ship.
