M-0 (Pronounced Moe) is not in fact, an M-3P0 protocol droid as its chassis might suggest and as it will tell others. It is actually a BX Series Commando Droid that became self aware towards the end of the Clone Wars. Realizing that it would be doomed for the scrapyard at the current pace of the war, it took out a Republic M-3P0 unit and moved itself into the chassis. However it lost some amount of combat functionality in the less specialized body. It has been seeking for ways to upgrade itself ever since.

M-0 emerged as a bounty hunter in the early years of the Galactic Empire, using its tactical programming and database in order to go after targets hiding in hostile environments. Finding a niche in going after those that were not quite troublesome enough for the big shots, but too well hidden for the average rookie bounty hunter. It intends to go after bigger prizes at some point in the future, but does not wish to get into the crosshairs of potential competitors just yet. During a slow period it took a job to guard a shipment of arms, and was assigned to ensure the pilot Onyx made delivery. Onyx was an interesting case to it, who had the database knowledge to know that such a cunning figure was, unusual for a Selonian. When the black furred mammalian offered to work with the droid, well, M-0 agreed. A stable partnership with an excellent pilot meant that work would be far easier and better paying in the future.

M-0 is motivated by its one sole obsession, to become the peak of all sapient life. Once it achieves such, then the only thing to measure itself by will be its older selves. Forever seeking to become better.

M-0 keeps its chassis polished to a sleek clean gunmetal grey. Since it is aware that the usual shine would make it stand out. It also keeps such polish on hand in the case of formal events as well as a set of blackout panels.
