Verde Tikal was born during the ending of the Mandalorian Civil War. His clan were the founders and owners of Mandaltech, which focused on weapons design as well general technological advancements to benefit the Mandalorian people.

However as Duchess Satine took office after the war and had her people take a more neutral and pacifistic stance in the galaxy, Mandaltech was forced to close down as part of the demilitarization process, and Clan Tikal along with many of the planets warriors were exiled to Concordia.

Concordia at the time was an inhospitable barren world, and many of the clans fought for dominance over what little resources they had including Clan Tikal and their hated rivals Clan Sorren with who they had enmity since the days of the Old Republic.

Eventually over the years, the fighting died down to the point that many believed that all the warriors had died out, with many clans realizing that they had a better chance of surviving by working together than trying to kill each other and came to a truce and built an agricultural settlement .

During that time, Verde was taught in his people's ways of fighting and survival and told of his people's history as some of the galaxy's strongest warriors, and was gifted with a blaster rifle, incidentally the last rifle created by Mandaltech before the company's closing.
