Background
EV-8 is a RQ model protocol droid and manufactured by Lothal Logistics Limited. For most of his functional life he served various government officials on Lothal and hardly ever travelled off world.
EV-8 was put into service of Senator Cen Baize - the Lothal senator to the Imperial Senate. Baize was a cunning senator and he also had his fingers in many underworld pies as Lothal was on the edge of Imperial control. He mainly fenced rare and expensive artefacts - using a network of smugglers to ship the goods. EV-8 was put to good use cooking the books and managing the shipping and sales of the contraband - making sure the dirty goods left looking clean.
EV-8 became very good at it until the Empire got wind of a shipment of a rare kyber crystal. Much to EV-8 protests Baize sold out the smugglers on that run to the Empire to make sure the trail never ended at his door.
This was the beginning of the end as more smugglers became suspicious of Baize and put up their prices. Baize took more risks, ran up more debts and EV-8 struggled to keep track of all his master's deals. It wasn’t long till Baize crossed some pirates on the outer rim and a price was put on his head.
The deadly assassin droid only known as X (the droid with no model name) was dispatched to dispatch Baize. Little is known of what happened next, only that there was a bloodbath in a cantina in Lothal's capital leaving 32 dead, including Sentator Baize and X and the only one missing - and prime suspect of the murders - Baize's protocol droid EV-8.

CRIMINAL - EV-8 is wrongfully accused of his former master's murder, Senator Cen Baize of Lothal. He is innocent even though the mind of Baize's actual murder - the assassin droid X - now infects his own matrix.
EV-8 is at the same time innocent and guilty of his master's murder - a conflict that is slowly sending him mad.

Description
Meet EV-8, an RQ model protocol droid. Buried deep within its matrix is the subroutine of the infamous lethal assassin droid X or the Droid With No Model Name. During an unsuccessful assassination attempt of EV-8's former master, a mortally wounded X uploaded its matrix into the mind of EV-8. Now there is a Jekyll and Hyde situation - or Jeeves and Lethal Assassin - as this rogue personality surfaces during stressful or dangerous situations.
