Originally from Corellia, Cran Corrand was no stranger to seeing shady deals in the streets. From an early age Cran was helping shady characters create diversions in the streets, pickpocketing targets, and doing "favors" for a few credits. Once he was old enough and had honed his craft, he joined a local guild; taking on bigger jobs with bigger scores. Eventually he was well respected enough within his guild he took over command of the guild when its former leader had been caught and killed during a job. Cran had big ambitions, but wanted to take the guild in a different direction. His new guild would rip off others trying to take advantage of the poor and down trodden. They stole from thieves, con-men, and even low level bounty hunters. This was quite lucrative until one job went south. Cran and his crew ripped off a bounty hunter trying to collect his bounty. Little did they know this bounty hunter had ties to the Crimson Dawn. Of course this drew a lot of attention and after many close calls, Cran received a bounty of his own. He deserted his home world and his guild he had built. No matter where Cran went, the Crimson Dawn was right on his tail. He was only able to temporarily give them the slip when he staged his own death by crashing his prized ship along with all the crew. He took shelter, taking on the new name of Leys Aren using the last of his remaining credits, and he prayed that the Crimson Dawn didn't notice his body was missing from the crash site...
