Asora was a native of Shili,born to a pro-republic militaristic family. She grew up with a brother and a sister, and taken care of by their grandmother,because her parents were always on duty, either stationed on Coruscant on official business, or out on field operations. Her father was a front line soldier, and her mother worked for the Republic Intelligence. Asora was always playful and sometimes even quirky,but knew how to be serious when she needed to, as the oldest sister she had to be the mother figure to her two younger siblings.

When the Galactic Republic had its sinister transformation into the Galactic Empire, her parents defected from the Imperial military and signed up with the New Republic as soon as they knew of its existance. Asora's mother was KIA as part of the New Republic's efforts to steal the plans to the secret Empire weapon. Asora's father was wounded in combat and was honorably discharged because he was no longer fit for duty. He returned to Shili and became a military advisor there.

Following news of her mother, who she aspired to as she grew up, Asora decided to join the New Republic military as soon as she was able. She graduated the training grounds with moderate grades in everything except for demolitions and scouting, she excelled at both. Asora was assigned to NRI to the Elix company, a sabotage & reconnaissance unit. Although she did not get to participate in any of the major camapigns of the New Republic (she was still in training when the death star was destroyed), Asora has a few successful missions under her belt. She is currently on a 48 hour leave after her last mission, awaiting word from the NRI on when she will be needed next...
