Background
Grew up on the Chiss homeworld of Csilla. Joined the Expansionary Defense Fleet for a mandatory tour when she was sixteen years old. She served as an intelligence analyst and assessed the Galactic Empire as a potential threat to the Chiss Ascendancy.
Her superiors disagreed with her, and after spending a bit more time than she had to in the Defense Fleet, she resigned with honors as a Lieutenant Commander and decided to venture into Wild Space to get a better feel as to whether the Empire was truly a threat to her people.
Motivation
Above all else, Thriss is a patriot. She loves the Chiss Ascendancy, and despite her people's insistence that the Empire is not a threat, Thriss cannot turn a blind eye. Not only that, but she has come to empathize with the people of the coreward worlds, who are suffering tremendously. She has justified to herself that she is not preemptively attacking a potential enemy of the Ascendancy. Rather, she is independently helping an existing organization that she views as the legitimate government in this Galactic Civil War. She hopes to end the conflict with as little bloodshed as possible by spreading the message of peace and justice as best she can.
Duties
Thriss was an intelligence analyst, and she is now putting the skills she learned there to use as a propagandist. She is disseminating information and trying to separate the truth from the lies. She is selecting the most flattering and dramatic truths to aid the Rebel Alliance, and she is making an effort to go public with the most horrific truths of what the Empire is really all about.
Description
Mitth'ris'sintar (aka Thriss) is a 28-year old Chiss female. She is taller than most human women, but of average height for a woman of her species. She is fit and attractive by Chiss standards, and she is confident in her intelligence and, to a lesser extent, her personal charisma. She is proud of her service to her species, and while she supports the Rebel Alliance, she is skeptical of restoring the Galactic Republic if it means opening the galaxy up to the same mistakes that led to the downfall of the Old Republic. She also views the Rebel Alliance as rather ragtag and disorganized compared to the Chiss military, and while she recognizes the necessity of the situation, she still hopes to bring a bit of Chiss discipline to the Rebel Alliance.
