Background
Kalek was, a long time ago, a Jedi Knight sworn to protect the Republic. After disobeying orders, and rushing back into combat to defend a squad of soldiers, he was captured by opposing forces. After months of torture, he was eventually traded back to the Republic, beaten and broken. Due to a political debacle, the Council decided to set an example and exiled Kalek from the order. After surrendering his Lightsaber, he swore off both the Republic, and the Force. He underwent a vast number of cyberization procedures, severing his connection from the Force, and transforming the majority of his body into a cold mechanical shell.
Some 17-odd years after his exile, Kalek wanders the Galaxy as a Bounty Hunter. He'd heard tales of a great battle between the Republic and the burgeoning Empire, but stayed away from the conflict, hidden away on the Outer Rim. With a new job completed, and a distinct lack of credits in his pockets, he sets off for the distant planet of Oogway, where he heard work is available.
Motivation
Droids Rights - Living somewhere between a shell of a man, and a living machine, Kalek is heavily invested in the Droid/Cyborg Rights movement. He believes that all creatures capable of self-determinance deserve to make their own way in the Galaxy.

Description
Kalek stands a bit under 5'9". His highly modified droid body is hidden away behind his heavy Laminate armor. His voice, though monotone, sounds normal enough to pass for human. He is never without his modified blaster rifle, and is often accompanied by two hovering scout drones.
Kalek *detests* being seen outside of his armor, and several blaster holes on the wall outside his door tell of a price to entering his room unannounced.
