As a slave to Black Market and Art Fake entrepreneur, a gotal named Zish Rithal, Khalo never got a formal education, she was never even taught Basic, rather a very broken form of Gotal. Being rather intimidating, however, she accompanied Rithal on many of his diplomatic ventures as a guard. She took well to this position, her peaceful nature occasionally coming into conflict with Rithal's wishes but never enough to cause any problems. She served under him for a good 14 years and so she got in his good graces and into his trust. During this time travelling to different worlds, filled with an infinite variety of new and exciting cultures (as well as her master's "real" art trade) imbued in her an eye and passion for culture. She served as Rithal's escort as well as the person whom he sent in his stead when meeting with dangerous characters, so in interest of his own personal safety and need for communication, he had an audio/visual translator custom-made for her to wear as a mouthpiece/headphone combination. This translated languages into the Gotal she was accustomed to, and translated her Gotal into any of the languages required.

On a particular mission delivering several works of art to a Hutt clan leader (She was never allowed to know their names), the deal went bad. The Hutt or one of his slaves had a good enough eye to catch the flaws in the artwork. They accused Mapa and by extension Rithal of forgery and attempting to trick a Hutt. Mapa, not knowing these art pieces were fake was caught completely off guard, and was commanded to call Rithal. Rithal was spineless during the conversation, but when arguing with a Hutt can you blame him? He promised to do whatever necessary to make up for this grand infraction. The Hutt then commanded Rithal to bring him impossibly expensive pieces of art and majesty worthy of a Hutt. In his ever-spineless nature, Rithal sent Mapa to one of his contacts in the artefact and relic business under the cover of assisting the recovery of relics in exchange for a discounted price at the shop of this relic hunter. In reality, Mapa was sent to assist in the recovery of the relics until she found enough to make up for the debt incurred by her master.

Mapa Khalo is the slave of Zish Rithal. Rithal incurred a debt to a Hutt leader and sent Mapa to alleviate the situation by covertly recovering high value artifacts and giving them to Rithal.

Mapa Khalo is 2.3 meters tall. She has grey fur with the color gradually changing to light brown as it reaches her extremities. Her irises are white, making her entire eyes white besides her pupils. She has a brand on her left arm in the shape of two goat horns forming a Z in the center of a circle. This is typically covered by the long hair around it. On the crown of her head, she has hair that falls roughly to her biceps, tapering off into a light brown like her extremities. Almost always she is wearing an audio/visual translator facemask of sorts. It acts as a mouthpiece for her to be able to speak Gotal and have it translated to other languages as well as acting as headphones that com directly from the wraparound mouthpiece with no need to go over the head.
