DESIRE FOR UNDERSTANDING
The Rise of The Empire is a time of chaos and blood. In the wake of the suppression of Iridonia, Onis was left without a family and a name. With the nascent actions of the so-called "Alliance" and its squabbling members, Onis had his mentor ripped from him by the unyielding force of the Imperial tidal wave. Left with little but a neophyte's understanding of The Force and the Way of The Matukai, Onis clings to those in an attempt to reconcile the state of The Galaxy and the path The Force had set him on.
Struggling with his hatred for The Empire, his Iridonian blood calling for war, and the peaceful discipline of his Master's teachings, Onis searches for only one thing in this: balance. Harmony. With all of his lessons stressing the importance of inner peace, he hopes to find a way to attain it throughout the violence that rips apart the Galaxy.

Motivation
RESTORE THE MATUKAI
The Purge not only wiped out the Jedi Order but also many other Force Traditions across the Galaxy. The Matukai did not escape the ire of The Emperor, and it was only their relatively small numbers that even allowed Onis's Master to escape the initial death squads. However, she did not run fast enough - now Onis is left with no teacher but still the hope that other Matukai may have survived. With no home on Iridonia to return to and the Empire suppressing dissent wherever it rears its head, Onis knows that the Matukai may be one of the few groups left who could actively, and successfully, fight Imperial oppression. Though an apprentice, he plans to find those that are left and, if possible, find a student of his own to pass on his religion.

EMOTIONAL STRENGTH - DISCIPLINE
The teachings of The Matukai stress Discipline. Control. Patience. Even after so much loss, Onis falls back on his Master's lessons in order to keep himself centered in this tumultuous age of rebellion. Coupled with the natural Force Sensitivity of his Zabraki heritage, Onis knows that no matter how emotional the trials ahead are The Force will always be with him as a guide. Before every action, before every major decision, he has stressed to himself that the first step is merely to breathe.
EMOTIONAL WEAKNESS - HATRED
The Empire. A massive, faceless, genocidal regime. It killed his family when he was young. It killed his Master, his lover, when he was older. It crushed his homeworld, stole his chance for the Jato of his clan, robbed him of the right of Selenoran. It unbalances The Force. It destroys all that is good and worth living for in The Galaxy. How could Onis feel anything for it but pure, unbridled hatred? Despite the Matukai adherence to balance, Onis is still an Iridonian: he can hear the calls for war, calls for the heads of stormtroopers and the screams of falling Star Destroyers. The zhaboka have been sharpened - Onis only hopes that he will not lose himself in the coming conflict.
