Background
Cassilde's past is a bit of a slippery one, as her childhood was effectively split between three different planets, and half of the stuff that happened was both pointless but did manage to have an effect.
As she was originally just the child a moisture farmer on a backwater planet, before she was kidnapped, sold as a slave on Nar Shaddaa, bought almost immediately, ferried to a different planet to work for a mercenary outfit, which got bombed by the Empire.
And then she got deposited back on that backwater planet, on the wrong side to a large foster family. All in all a very confused, frustrated and scared child, that somehow ended up alright until she got picked up by bounty hunters.
From there it was fortunately a rather typical bounty hunter story of slowly finding jobs and making her living.
Motivation
Novelty:
Cass mostly wants to have a bit of fun, whether it be firing new and enormous weapons, using fancy gadgets, fighting ridiculous and strong people, flying crazy starships or what have you.
She's always looking for new ways to do new things, as some opportunities require a bit of investment and patience to open, and sometimes she just wants to spice up something she's been doing the same way a little too long.
Obligations
Bounty +10:
Cass may or may not have indirectly caused a Hutt's freighter to crash into an asteroid field. More than once. Definitely wasn't her fault, she was pursuing a bounty like any decent hunter.
Her bounty just happened to have a twin brother and an abnormally angry astromech droid, and while she was busy capturing both brothers to be safe since she couldn't tell the difference, the droid apparently had old launch codes for a dead space station that happened to have a gravity missile still primed and ready.
And the pilot she'd sweet-talked into letting her on board apparently had a Mandalorian girlfriend who had sabotaged the freighter, and the pilot was also an ex-pirate whose gang had rocked up soon after the crash to rob the freighter.
And one of the pirates happened to be an old flame of Cass's, but she only figured that out after she'd shot up most of the crew.
And then the girlfriend arrived and Cass took her hostage in order to steal her ship and get the hell out of dodge, though she was awfully cooperative for a Mandalorian being taken hostage...
In short, there's potentially an angry Hutt, a distressed band of pirates, an incredibly angry astromech droid with a suspicious history, or an obsessed Mandalorian with uncertain intentions after her.
