Background
Ty'sho was raised on stories told to him by his Grandfather. Of mighty clashes between fleets, brave pilots and commanders who made battle among the stars. These tales captured the imagination of the young Duros, who spent hours studying the finer points of the conflicts he had heard of. Before the Empire took over, Ty'sho had dreams of joining the Republic Fleet and following in the footsteps of his heroes. Now of age and with the Rebellion in need of commanders, the young officer has a personal and professional grudge against the Empire.
As though it were not enough that the Imperials held a disdain for most non-human species, Ty'sho additionally takes issue with their combat doctrine. Though the Imperial Navy’s tactics are effective, he takes issue with their Admiral’s willingness to send wave after wave to die so that they might get another medal. This is not the valor a leader needs to demonstrate. To Ty'sho it is cowardice and beneath his idea of what it means to be in command. So now he awaits the chance to strike back against the Imperials, and prove that he is their better in every way
