Background
Jarrick was born on Onderon in 24 BBY, in a small settlement comprised of hunters and traders deep in the planet's jungles. For the first few years of his life, he was raised in peace by his parents. When the Clone Wars broke out in 22 BBY, his settlement joined with others throughout the planet and refused to accept the rule of King Sanjay Rash, who had allied the planet with the Separatists.
When the Jedi arrived on Onderon, his parents joined with the Onderon rebels and fought back against the Separatists. Though the freedom-fighters proved successful in returning Ramsis Dendup to the throne, Onderon fell to the iron grip of the Empire in the years following the end of the Clone Wars and the destruction of the Jedi.
Jarrick's parents rebelled against the rule and propaganda of the Empire and became part of an underground faith known as the Church of the Force, which believed that the Jedi would one day return to restore balance to the Force. Along with this, his parents joined with the Alliance to Restore the Republic and founded a rebel cell in the deep jungles, fighting back against the Imperial occupation.
In 16 BBY, the Empire launched a bombing campaign against the Onderonian rebel cell, which led to the destruction of his settlement and the death of his parents, who sacrificed themselves to save their son. Fleeing into the jungle, the young Jarrick quickly learned to survive in the years following, relying on his growing natural ability and a strange insight that soon began to develop.
Over the next ten years, Jarrick proved a true survivor. He honed his survival and combative skills fighting against the jungle predators, while also learning to trust in his gifted instincts. Eventually, he came to realize that the truest threat to the galaxy's survival was the Empire itself, and so he sought out the Rebellion, like his parents had done so many years before.
Jarrick proved to be a valuable asset for the Rebellion. His knowledge of guerilla tactics and survivalist abilities allowed him to strike at the Empire and put his skills to good use. His abilities have only grown over the four years since he formally joined the Alliance, and some of the older Rebels have even begun to whisper that there is something different about him, though Jarrick largely dismisses these claims.
