Background
A member of a secluded monastery once visited by the Jedi, Penn is a well read and devout believer in the Force, despite his inability to draw power from it. Currently out on pilgrimage, the young monk hopes his scholarly skills will prove an asset to his new allies' diplomatic endeavors.
His nature as an independent advisor keeps his input neutral and unbiased, and his experience assisting Republic diplomats and Jedi investigators, while limited, gave him the recommendations needed to be assigned to his current position.
Penn's previous assignment had him accompany a Mirilian Jedi investigator named Illarat Jen. Together, the duo looked into the murder of a Hapan diplomat. With his understanding of the local culture, they were able to determine that the diplomat's death was during an honor duel, and prevented Separatist efforts to label it as an assassination.
