Background

Born in 47BBY, Kain Eldar was one of the extremely tiny minority of being a force-sensitive Mandalorian. His birth was sensed by a nearby Jedi, who approached Kain's parents to bring him to the Jedi Order. Yet his parents, proud warriors of Clan Eldar, refused to do so. This nearly resulted in a skirmish between the two, until the leader of Clan Eldar stepped in. Recognizing what another Mandalorian Jedi could do to help their world and culture, the Leader negotiated with the Jedi, to let Kain have a routinely exchange between Mandalore and the Jedi Temple, so he could learn from both at the same time. The Jedi brought the decision to the Council, who after much deliberation, accepted the deal, though they would be the ones deciding when Kain would be able to return.
Thus, Kain was brought to the Jedi Temple.

As an initiate, Kain was known to be a quiet male, who preferred to keep to himself, often found in the library reading up more about his homeworld, home culture and the Sith. His instructors however all agreed that while the male was quiet, he was responsible, determined and hard-working, for Kain never failed to put in his best effort or seek consultation should he require help.
It was during his years as an initiate where he first met Aayla Secura, the one destined for him to fall in love with. The two were initiates under the same Initiate clan, Thranta clan. Initially, the two did not talk with each other, but when they were put on a group project together, they had no choice but to communicate.
This interaction sparked a friendship between them which would grow to be much more. Throughout their time as initiates, the two began to rely on each other for support, drawing on each other as pillars of strength and comfort. Eventually, the two would pass their Initiate trials, both becoming Padawans. Aayla under Jedi Master Quinlan Vos, while Kain under Jedi Master Cin Drallig.

During the time as a Padawan, Kain followed his master along on many missions which spanned the galaxy. During this time, he would also return to Mandalore periodically as per the agreement made years ago, to further his studies as a Mandalorian warrior. Kain had always been intrigued by his own culture and enjoyed it greatly, especially the Resol'nare. His Mandalorian training, coupled with the lightsaber teachings of his master led the male to become a more physical Jedi, specializing in physical combat exceedingly well. Kain had a close relationship with his master, whom he treated as a second father. He learnt a lot from the older Jedi, especially lightsaber techniques. This led to the creation of his crossguard saber after his previous saber had been destroyed, with the guidance of his master.

Kain and Aayla continued to grow their relationship when they were Padawans. While it was initially still a close friendship, as time progressed, they came to see each other as more than friends. Yet due to their differing schedules and masters, the two were only able to court each other in secret and in the decreasingly little free time they had.
When Aayla disappeared due to her uncle, Kain went into a frenzy, desperate to find her, nearly exposing their relationship due to the turmoil his master sensed in him. Yet the male had the harness all the training he had ever gone through from both Mandalorian and Jedi on self-discipline, trusting in the Force and trusting in Aayla to return.

Once Aayla returned, Kain immediately visited her the next time he returned to Coruscant. He quietly helped her reshape her memories and the two made their secret relationship official when they confessed their love to one another.

Kain was recommended by his Master to go through the Jedi Trials at the age of 21, in 26BBY. The male managed to pass the Trials, emerging as a Jedi Knight.
The male would continue to go on missions for the Order, spending time with Aayla whenever he could. He also was known to spend periods of time in Mandalore and became the Jedi Guardian for that sector of space where Mandalore was in.
Kain would even bring Aayla to meet his parents on Mandalore in secret, in 23BBY, undergoing the Mandalorian marriage ceremony with the female to become recognized as a married couple according to Mandalorian custom.

When the Clone Wars erupted in 22BBY, Kain became a Jedi General. Yet he was also often tasked with more discreet and specialized jobs, something only someone who has learnt skills from outside the Jedi Order could do. These missions were often similar to the missions of Jedi Shadows, but instead of Sith and Dark Jedi, the male also tracked and captured rogue bounty hunters or criminals.

Motivation

Destroy the Sith: Through ancient texts or diligent research, the character has learned of the Jedi’s ancient enemies: the Sith. He has set out to defeat and destroy their order, or at the very least, do what he can to hinder them.

Morality

Strength- Justice: The character strives for just and deliberate actions in his life, and in his interactions with others. He attempts to make the objectively right choice every time, knowing that justice is more likely to guarantee positive outcomes than sympathy or other emotional displays.

Weakness- Arrogance: Pride, among all emotions, is perhaps the easiest to fall to a darker form. Arrogance mirrors pride, but satisfaction in one’s accomplishments is replaced with contempt for others’ failings. It is not enough to succeed; the character also expects all others to fail.
