Background
Not much is known about Jay Cee's past. He was first found wandering around the base, seemingly ecstatic that someone had finally noticed him and claiming he had been there the whole time. There's no files on a Twi'lek with that name, and Jay Cee just waves it off as computer error when "questioned." He seems oddly knowledgeable about Imperial Intelligence, but vehemently denies any involvement, citing his nonhuman nature.
The real story is that Jay used to run a small group of anti-Imperial operatives after they freed him from slavery as a servant to a noble family. A small isolated group, that did mostly sabotage. Until they went too far. Jay lost control of the team, and they began targeting anything they could, even civilian areas. Sickened, Jay did the only thing he thought could stop them. He turned double agent in an attempt to stop them. He had hoped to rescue them after they were captured, lecture them about how their reckless actions had caused this and hopefully turn them back towards acceptable targets.
His team decided to go down fighting. Jay slipped away and did everything he could to erase what happened. He knows he can't leave the rebellion with his guilt, but the idea of being sent out on an operation terrifies him, as he fears he will repeat his actions. Once forced on a mission, he sees no problem with risking himself to complete the job, seeing his life as already forfeit.
