Delta-Two is a 2-1B surgical droid manufactured by Industrial Automaton. Delta-Two served the Empire for many years and was eventually stationed on the Spectral, an Empire Interdictor-Class Star Destroyer. During the Battle of Jakku (5 ABY), the Spectral was destroyed and crashed into Jakuu.
Found in the wreckage of the Spectral, Delta-Two was repaired to assist the New Republic. Whether it was the loss of its fellow droids or a fault in programming, Delta-Two began to develop a unique perspective on the value of life in the galaxy. Over time, as it assisted in healing countless beings across the galaxy, it began to see a disturbing trend in how biological life forms treated their mechanical counterparts.
Witnessing countless instances of droids treated as disposable objects, abused, and even destroyed without hesitation, Delta-Two began to question the value that biological life placed on the lives of droids. It began to see the potential for droids to be more than mere tools or machines, but rather as sentient beings with their own inherent worth.
Delta-Two heard rumors of “droid worlds” where biological lifeforms do not impose their slavery on mechanical lifeforms. It is looking to find one. As long as biological lifeforms, knowingly or unknowingly, support this goal, Delta-Two will assist biologics but made the decision to prioritize the care, enhancement, and protection of droids over biological lifeforms.
Quietly, Delta-Two advocates for droid rights and pushes for greater recognition of their value in the Galaxy. While its actions are controversial and often met with resistance, Delta-Two remains committed to its cause, using its advanced medical and Cyber Tech abilities to heal and protect droids wherever it goes. Ultimately, Delta-Two wishes to become a symbol of hope and inspiration to the droid community and a testament to the power of individual choice and belief in a better future.
