Jedi Knight Grathen Fel was discovered by the Jedi Order in infancy on Ringo Vinda. Like all younglings he was trained at the Coruscant Temple in the ways of the force, and more importantly taught how to live in harmony with the galaxy and its inhabitants. His mind was often quiet, contemplative, and resolved according to his
During his initiate trials on Illum, Grathen would be tested harshly. In his first test, Grathen had some difficulty helping to clear away the snow that had accumulated so that his group of younglings could enter the temple. Once he entered the vergence labyrinth of caverns below the temple Grathen found himself awash in doubt and overwhelmed. It took every ounce of will in his being to avoid hastily running about in terror, but pass the trial he did. It was then that Grathen realized that patience was its own reward - and it could be achieved through quiet, contemplative, and resolved meditation.
After a two year wait and assignment to the Grathen was selected by one of the Orders Librarians as an apprentice. It wasn’t the most exciting of selections, but Grathen thought of it as another test of his faith, and opportunity to learn. Assignments outside the temple for them were few and far between, mostly consisting of research projects and outreach mentoring on various worlds. Most of his days in the temple archives were spent sorting through archives entries, and filling data requests. It was during his ten years as a Padawan learner that Grathen was taught a more in depth history of the Jedi Order and the Republic. He grew in his knowledge of the force and became a rather strict defender of orthodox teachings.
After a total of 26 years of training Grathen passed through his Jedi Knight trials. He was assigned outside the temple as a teacher on his ‘homeworld’ of Ringo Vinda for 3 years where he taught and shared the mysteries of the force with children and young adults until the clone wars began some five years later. After that he was recalled to the temple and served as a temple guard until the war broke out. While on the Geonosis he saw some fighting, but was mostly given staff and administrative duties such as ensuring that the Code remained in the minds of the Jedi and that this war would not lead Jedi down the path to the Dark Side. Since the battle he has been retasked with what is essentially the same mission.
Motivation
Jedi Code: Fel knows the code of this ancient order. He follows it, feeling that it is something worth his belief and devotion. Promote the orthodox beliefs and traditions of of Jedi Order. In his mind a Jedi cannot find peace if they are ruled by your emotions. They cannot both seek knowledge and remain ignorant. They cannot achieve serenity if they can’t control their passions. They will find no harmony in chaos. And they will not know true death if they give themselves over to the Force.
DUTY (Support): Individually, the lone agents of the Republic don’t stand a chance against the combined might of the Separatists. Only by working together can they hope to achieve a victory in this civil war. This PC is devoted to helping the Republic fulfill their Duties by providing whatever assistance they need. Although he might not get the same amount of reward or recognition as the people he is helping, the PC has many more opportunities than his fellows to fulfill his Duty to the Republic.

Reason: Grathen is able to look as situations objectively, and observe the natural state of things without being influenced by strong emotions.
Apathy: Grathen's skills at detached observation can at times lead to a cold pragmatism in which the emotional cost of choices are not taken into account.
