Background

Darren Dunkber, age 28, born to Alieme, a failed jedi initiate that became a simple farm girl, growing T'bac and coffee. By the time she had reached her late teen years she began to fell restless, and soon decided to apply what she had learned as a jedi initiate and give the life of a bounty hunter a try. She proved mildly successful, she even meet and married a man named Fayt Eldar, a mandalorian.

Alieme decided that when Darren was born that she would see to his force training, the battle of galidraan left her disillusioned with the jedi order and she would not trust the jedi with her son, nor would Fayt.

Darren took to his education in both the force and the bounty hunter lifestyle well, constantly working hard on his swordsmanship and various other skills that would one day help him become a great hunter one day. Unfortunately both his parents would not live to hunt with their son.

Both Alieme and Fayt where part of a bounty hunter group known as Crimson Nova, specializing in hunting jedi. By the year 21 bby the clones wars where in full, and the crimson nova where effectively eliminating jedi at an alarming rate. This lead to a strike force of jedi masters to attack their base of operation, the rig. Alieme and Fayt were among the casualties, Darren found himself orphaned at 15. at a time when he needed the most mentoring. However, this did not stop the young bounty hunter.
His mother’s and father’s name alone got him into the door of the bounty hunter’s guild, but he still had to prove himself as an able hunter. Though the first few hunts where tough, tracking down a couple murderers in the outer rim and dealing with a few senators on couriscant, Darren completed his contracts. Darren had help though, his father’s clan, Aliit Eldar, they were weary of the force sensitive boy and held off on accepting the boy as one of their own until Darren proved his father’s way was also his own. They still gave him starting equipment and a list of contacts to lean on.

By the time of the closing months of the clone was, Darren 18 at the time, he finally had a chance to truly prove himself. Like his mother and father before him, Darren was cut loose on a few jedi bounties. Though they were not nearly as powerful as some of the more famous jedi, they were still powerful enough to give Darren quite a bit of trouble. Still, Darren had 2 jedi knights and 3 padawan ‘acquired’ to his name. Not only did this cement his standing in the guild and his legend, but when he turned over everything he earned to clan Eldar as tribute, it cemented his status in the clan. The alor of aliit Eldar clearly saw that Darren, though he had his mother’s power, show no loyalty to the jedi, and his tribute showed he prioritized the clan. Darren was given the right to wear the armor and to call himself Mando. However, being estranged from the clan from a early start due to his lineage left a bit of a bad taste in his mouth, so Darren holds off on making his armor, for now.

A few months after the close of the clone wars and order 66, Darren was contacted by a man going by Goteb, from the clan Skirata. He confided in Darren his own history as a jedi, but now that he was mando. Because Darren as also mando with the same power and the Eldar and Skirata’s share a close alliance, he would assist Darren in his study of the force.

Over the course of a decade Darren built up his career in the outer rim, from hunting dangerous individuals in the slums of nar shadda and taris, to wiping entire towns of their criminal problems on back water worlds like tattooine, and every once in a while deal with a jedi/dark jedi making too much trouble for the empire. Though he never managed to save any of the credits he made, blowing it all on whiskey, gambling, or charity, often just as fast as he made it.

Darren is still young, and just as hungry for the hunt and the joys of life in this galaxy.

Motivation

conflict-honor in battle The character holds true to a code of honor in warfare. This code could be an ancient tradition
of one of the myriad civilizations in the galaxy or it could be his own personal beliefs. Whatever the case, his honor depends on following these tenets, even when it may be inconvenient.

Darren chooses to fight in close cause he finds it the most honorable form of combat. He strives to either strike in such a way that he disarms and leaves his foes unable to fight back, or to kill them with a quick and efficient blow.

Darren also finds it abhorrent to loot weapons or armor from the dead, though he will take credits from the dead as well as any ammo, me makes sure to leave two credits on their eyes to pay for their trip to the afterlife. Darren also makes a point to learn the names of his kills, so he can offer them up in a prayer of rememberance, and to thank them for the fight.

Darren also speaks a prayer before every battle, having variations ranging from long to very sort.




cause-the weak/charity- The character fights for the underdog, disliking bullies and totalitarianism. He'll put the interests of those in need before his own and may donate time or money to aid the less fortunate.


cause-justice-In a galaxy full of wrongdoing, justice must be done. The character seeks to bring justice to those who deserve it, while helping victims of injustice to right the wrongs done to them.

Morality

Bravery- Darren is more than willing to face some of the toughest fights the galaxy is willing to throw at him. (recklessness) of course this had left Darren to over extend himself from time to time, nearly at the risk of his own neck.

Justice- Darren initially followed in the footsteps of his parents and became a bounty hunter for the sole reason as to try to bring some justice to those who would slip through its fingers (cruelty) of course Darren sometimes goes to the extreme when dealing with acquisitions, leaving many bloody and maimed for life upon turning them over.

Charity- The flip side to Darren's seeking justice, it turns out a sizable paycheck, most of which he gives to help others get back on their feet, or learn to take care of themselves. (hatred) Of course this leads to Darren's darker thoughts on the matter. He truly hates anyone unwilling to stand on their own two feet and fend for themselves, always having a handout looking to leach off those who are capable.

OBLIGATION
vigilante-7- the character has seen the wheels of justice grind up the innocent and let the guilty walk free. the character has sworn to take the law-or a version of it, at any rate-and bring justice to those who deserve it. when taking on contracts, the character tend to pursue the most harden criminals.

a life time of seeing wrong doing, Darren is compelled to bring justice to criminals that most others skip over. Usually taking them on as a form of contract with indivduals who are to poor or unimportant to have the proprer athurities get invovled.



responsibility-7- A character with the Responsibility Obligation feels a strong sense of accountability or
relationship to a person, place, or thing (a responsibility to kin falls under the Family Obligation described above). This could include a strong connection to a mentor, a strong desire to care for orphans in a given location, or taking on the needs of an under-represented minority.

have literally come up from nothing, Darren has an excessive urge to help those who have fallen on hard times. Often paying for things to grow food for orphans, or rebuilding their orphanage. He will also invest in local businesses if he likes the owner, or has a family to care for. He will even get involved in situations that might include theft, if those goods go to help.

Family-7- Darren’s loyalty lie with his clan, Aliit Eldar, and to those who are his brothers and sisters. When he can he will donate time and resources to his clan as well as to allied clans, and offer to train the younger warriors, especially those who share the same sensitivity to the force and assist them in their endeavors.

He still dealing with that fact many of his fellow clan members still question is dedication to the mandalorian way, because of his force sensitivity. They keep his secret from outsiders, but they make no qualms with letting him know how they feel. However, the leaders of the clan still pressure Darren to dawn the armor, saying he had proved himself; Darren is reluctant though, having quite decided if he should stop being the Arutiise of the clan.
Darren also has an infatuation with technology from naboo. His mother being from naboo drives this interest. So if given the chance Darren will use weapons made on naboo, and will try to acquire his mother’s dream fighter, the N-1. Darren also is making plans to find out who owns the current rights to his mother’s farm, and make them his. Family needs some place to live eventually.

Fame- 7- You don’t have a twelve year long career without your name becoming known by the scum of the galaxy in every backwater. You don’t take down jedi without people taking notice. You don’t become a successful bounty hunter without the notoriety that comes with it.

With having 7 jedi bounties to his name along with a laundry list of bounties ranging from two bit gangs to senators, Darren has garnered a bit of attention. This comes from his marks knowing that he is coming for their bounties, hunters from outside the guild trying their hand against him, and informants knowing that it is best to take the bribe and spill the beans. Darren, on two occasions, had to deal with overzealous jedi coming for him in a proactive attack, which failed. On more than one occasion Darren’s fame has gotten him free drinks and rooms from those hoping to curry favor from the bounty hunter, and more than his fair share of ‘other’ attention.

Despite his fame, it doesn’t matter if he is known or not, it doesn’t matter how hard the bounty fights, Darren will hunt them down.

Description

Darren, 28, a scar running down his face over his right eye. his eyes are silver along with his hair. he stands at 5'7" and weighs roughly 186ish pounds due to his toned stock build. on his upper right arm is a blademaster mandalorian tattoo, on the left side of his chest is another mythoskull tattoo. on his left arm a 7 small jedi symbols with a small scar running through them.
