Kasun was employed by a mining corporation that took interest in Rynol IV, but was wiped out by the Black Sun. In order to survive, Kasun had to scrabble together a small business for himself; named Rynol Repairs. Relying mostly on building and repairing droids, he also deals with Black Sun and The Smuggler's Guild on the side with their technical repair needs. In order to stay safe, Kasun poses as the child of the Rynol Repair's owner. It is a common scene to find upset members of the Black Sun and The Smuggler's Guild in the store angrily asking to see the owner, only to be told that he is offworld. So far, none of them have gone as far as threatening "his" child's life, as the nurse droid is able to patch them in to speak to the father directly, when in fact it's Kasun transmitting his thoughts to the droid to repeat.

Very small sentient, easily mistaken as a child by other sentients who do not know what the Columi are. Kasun uses this to his advantage in order to survive. Disguising himself as a child, he can always be found with his nurse droid that is effectively a protocol droid and his primary source of locomotion. Kasun is a very standard looking Columi. He has large, black eyes that lack eye-lids. His head is comically large compared to the rest of his frail body.
