Background
Tooz began his life on his homeworld of Sembla, formerly known as Utavurk, but everything changed when the Empire arrived. They established a research base on the world and used the native Vurk for cheap labor in the strip-mining operations on the planet, and instead of sticking around to become a part of that, Tooz snuck out on an Imperial ship and has never looked back.
Tooz's journey took him all over the galaxy, across many different planets and moons, where he found his calling as an Explorer and Scout, selling his instincts and survival skills to anyone willing to fund his next adventure. He quickly learned to adapt and how to read unfamiliar terrain - jungles choked full of predators, irradiated ruins from forgotten wars, backwater moons ignored by galactic maps. Every new world was a puzzle begging to be solved, and this only added to Tooz's curiousity of the galaxy. If it was known, he felt he must see it at least once, and if it was unknown, then this would cement his status as a legendary explorer.
But Tooz's obsession with needing to see everything known and unknown has a cost. Doing so has led him into morally dark corners of the galaxy on multiple occasions; one of the biggest instances was stumbling across the Imperial Wookie slave trade operation.
Motivation
Wanderlust/Novelty: Tooz not only has a strong motivation to explore the galaxy, he's obsessed by it, often putting him into tough predicaments that he probably shouldn't be in.
Obligations
Obsession: Tooz is obsessed with exploring every place in the known and unknown system, even if it comes at a cost of money or even his freedom. He's found himself getting tangled up in things he probably shouldn't be tangled up in as a result of this, such as the Wookie slave trade.
