Zara grew up on a ship. Her father had been hired as a pilot under the command of the Nightsisters on Dothomir since before her birth. They required skilled pilots to traffic their mercenaries throughout the galaxy and avoid the Jedi Order's interference (when that was a thing).
They were able to live on Dothomir, where Zara was trained with a Zhaboka. Otherwise, they lived a risky life traveling as a family doing trade and trafficking the mercenaries aboard their ship. Before she grew her horns, she was piloting ships into harbors and making friends and contacts with custom's officials and other smugglers.
Though she is accepting and used to magicks/the force in any shape it takes, she is weary of those who use it-- especially those with power.

Primary motivation: Wanderlust.

After riding familiar trade routes for a majority of her life and listening to the stories that other pilots would share, Zara only got a taste for what is out there. She's pulled to these systems she's never been to and undiscovered places.

As she was brought up with steady work from the sisters, their massacre by Dooku hit her hard. Since then she has been struggling with odd jobs and utilizing her extensive knowledge of the galaxy to keep going.
A recent job went south, as one of her crew sold them out to the Imperial Order when smuggling spice past a barge. Zara managed to evade capture, but as a result lost her ship and exposed an important smuggler route. She's pissed, and the event did nothing for her pride or her reputation, as the smugglers that had been making money off of the colonies in the area now blame her for their loss of income.

A small Zabrak (around 5'). She has light orange skin with black tattoos and red eyes. Her horns have stopped growing, with 6 main horns that have two smaller spikes on either side of them.
Much to her dismay, she has been "cursed" with a circular patch of bright red hair on the top of her head. It's grown much longer than she would have it since she lost her ship and is tied in a knot to keep it out of the way.

She has many tattoos on her body, though they usually stay covered.
Her facial tattoos on her cheeks and nose are inspired by her family's marks, while the circles on her forehead are inspired by her planetary travels.
