Background

Raised in the old Jedi temple prior to the fall as one of the few ever Trandosian Jedi. He felt the pressure of trying to earn points from the Scorekeeper (Trandosian God of the hunt who literally gives points to the people for successes). Though he studied and trained harder than all other younglings, his connection to the force did not grow at the same rate as his fellow younglings. This only made him more competitive and surly. His lack of being able to quiet and pacify his mind only exacerbated his lack of progress and placed a large chip on his shoulder.

Before the fall, Sstreeleysskk, was dismissed from the Jedi order, partially for his lack of progress, but mostly because of his aggression toward others during his training. His lack of progress created a need to prove himself and a feeling as though he was lacking enough points to keep the Scorekeeper happy. Both Sstreeleysskk and the order felt he was not a good fit.

After what he perceived as a large disgrace, Sstreeleysskk set off to find a new way of earning points with the Scorekeeper. He discovered his aptitude for the force gave him the reflexes and hand-eye coordination that made him an elite pilot. Many Trandosians had become bounty hunters or soldiers for hire in their quest for points, but though Sstreeleysskk had a large chip on his shoulder and animosity toward any Jedi succeeding where he failed, he still had a strong pull to the light side. He wanted to help and a ship would allow him to be a force for good.

His cousin Dokk Strassi was able to connect him with people willing to loan him the money that another of Strassi's contacts would sell him a vessel. It was a bit of a rundown junker. A precursor to the YT style freighter that was popular with smugglers throughout the galaxy. Sstreeleysskk fell in love with it and nearly literally sold his soul to the hutts to obtain the ship he later dubbed the Majestic Minoch.

What his cousin did not tell him, as it suited him as a fixer for the hut clan, was that his loan made Sstreeleysskk effectively an indentured servant to the gangsters known as the hutts. Sstreeleysskk felt a slave in all but name. He was asked to do many unsavory things and asked to carry cargo that hurt the Republic and seemed to create suffering in a galaxy he wanted to help. But he had a ship and felt his connection to the force every time he grabbed the stick and pulled off maneuvers that should have been mechanically impossible and at nearly precognitive reaction time.

Sstreeleysskk found opportunities to help good people when he could, working around the abhorrent tasks provided to him by the hutts. He helped those he could along the way. His balance with the hutts has only gone up due to ridiculous interest rates and if any problems were found with his shipments or any cargo confiscated for whatever reason, the hutts charged his account and added any damages as they saw fit. For them, he was too valuable to let go. For Sstreeleysskk, it made him ore and more desperate to find some heretofore unimagined way to pay his debt.

Motivation

Sstreeleysskk wants to redeem himself both in the Scorekeeper's eyes and his own. Sadly most motivating factors for him are to do with trying to earn the money to set himself free of his onerous debt to the hutts and free him to make a positive difference in a galaxy that rejected him and then took advantage of his naivety. Despite his feelings of inadequacy, and desire for vengeance on the hutts/bad people he has been forced to work for, he desires the freedom to seek a "good" way to earn points for the Scorekeeper.

Obligations

10-Debt
After being dismissed from the Jedi order, Sstreeleysskk, sought out to purchase a freighter with which to begin his new life. He had no real possessions he was willing to part with so made a deal with the huts. This was more because he did not know where else to go and was promised work from the hut clan as a result.
