Heeding the Call (wanna be a bit custom on this one): Despite whatever has happened in the Clone Wars, they continue to fight because they want to find a purpose beyond the courts they found meaning in as a knight. Since the Battle of Naboo, they've felt empty and betrayed by their desires. That hole is now being filled by taking down the CIS in the Clone Wars one battle at a time, hoping that a greater purpose will be found in the violence.

While of course this Jedi grew up in the temple, learning the ways of the force during childhood, prior to the Clone Wars they frequented royal courts and the longed for the company of the ostentatious. By the time they had achieved the rank of Jedi Master, they had already made contact with many dukes and kings, duchesses and queens. While showing material desires was against the code of the Jedi, they couldn't help but feel drawn to the gaudy lifestyle of the aristocracy, though of course they never let this show. Once the first signs of the Separatist Crisis broke out with the Battle of Naboo, ravaging a location they held dear, they began to question what indulging in this lifestyle truly meant. This led to them being one of the first to campaign for a Jedi offensive against Count Dooku and his Confederacy, and when the opportunity came to join an offensive in the arena during the Battle of Geonosis, they were one of the first to agree. They were one of the few Jedi to survive, and were consequently offered a legion of Clone Troopers for the battles to come in the Clone Wars.

This Jedi Master is wise and thoughtful when they need to be, and well versed in the social conventions of the elite. But you will find when they are not in the company of those they respect, they are quite derisive and prone to passive aggressive jabs masked as humorous remarks. They often struggle with the dark side of the force without being cognizant of it, whether it be the desire for a well off lifestyle or the desire for revenge through violence. Because of this, they are in favor of finding direct, brash solutions to problems that often involve just taking what is needed by force, but when the situation arises they can be quite silver-tongued.
