Nix is well-accustomed to social settings and knows that no interaction is without meaning or impression without consequence. He has developed his naturally charismatic manner into a disarming friendliness while maintaining a shrewd eye for opportunities, deceptions, and hidden meanings.

Feels a strong pride in his race, their history, and their achievements. In resolving to clean-up Duro, Nix finds himself additionally feeling a sense of responsibility for other members of his race and will often step in to defend or help a fellow Duros in need. Because of his disgraced state, the help is not always welcome, but it is always offered or attempted.

Nix has no love for the Empire, as it insulted his people by combining Duros with the Corellian system. He holds no grudge against Corellia, but would just as soon see the systems separated once more and his people once again have their own system in the galaxy.

While he is not a shady or criminal type individual, Nix believes more in following his own code of ethics than in obeying any sort of planetary or galactic law. When the two align, he follows the law. When they do not, he follows his conscience. His own ethics center on individualism, personal responsibility, and the idea that any act that does not directly harm another ethical individual or institution should be permitted. He believes that every individual in the galaxy should 'pull their own weight' and has no sympathy for those who do not.
