Background

Alderaan was a gleaming jewel of the Republic, and held a similar glimmer even as the Empire gutted that same Republic and wore its corpse. There was at least one bastion of democracy and hope in the galaxy, where it's no surprise that the Organa family's funding of the Rebel Alliance was an open secret among the people. Joran Landon was one of many young Alderaanians devoted to the Organa family, believing beyond a shadow of a doubt that Bail Organa was one of the truest voices of hope in the dark times. Joran joined the Alderaanian Armed Forces as soon as he was able, and the move to Yavin IV was equally as prompt. The Rebellion needed soldiers far more than Alderaan did, and the young Joran was happy to serve. He was a born idealist, and dedicated himself to representing Alderaan on the galactic stage to retake the Republic that he didn't even remember.

Then word came in about Alderaan's destruction at the hands of the Imperial Death Star. His people, his family, his friends, gone in the blink of an eye to appease a decrepit and evil Emperor. Billions of lives ended to display the power of the twisted Empire. The Death Star's destruction did little to appease Joran's newfound desire for revenge, knowing the Emperor was still safely tucked away on Coruscant. At the rate the Rebellion was going, they would never get at the man himself before he passed away peacefully of old age, having succeeded in his mission to rule the galaxy.

Joran signed up for active duty immediately. If there was one thing he could do at the very least, he could force the issue and lay waste to Imperial resources until the Emperor had to take a direct interest in the fight. They had to draw him out and put an end to his rule once and for all. Only once every Imperial leader lay dead would Alderaan finally be avenged.

Motivation

Quest: Vengeance

Joran has devoted the rest of his life to destroying the Empire and its allies, believing that it has no meaning with all those he knew and loved gone with Alderaan.

Duties

Sabotage
Magnitude: 30

The largest and most powerful military force in the history of the galaxy is also the most vulnerable to acts of destruction and asset denial. Joran is focused on disrupting Imperial operations in any way possible, whether it's the manufacture of weapons, troop movements, supply shipments, banking systems, or any other key operation, in order to make the Empire act more slowly and less capably. Truly showy acts of destruction also work to erode a population's will to support the Empire, or so Joran often believes (though the Alliance expressly forbids actual acts of terrorism).

Description

Joran's smooth olive skin and deep brown hair colour are the only clear indicators of his Alderaanian origin. His tattered unkempt clothes, his messy hair and unshaven face however indicate quite clearly that the man is no longer the refined gentleman that he was expected to be serving under the Alderaanian banner.
