Description

Upgrade Effect

Duration Commit a force die to sustain one conjuration per duration upgrade bought while it remains at medium range
Magnitude Spend a force point to increase the maximum encumbrance of the item that can be conjured by 2 per magnitude upgrade purchased.

Background

The outsider - Ryōshuke was born an orphan on the Hutt space planet of kintan, in the mountains, to a nomad clan that was largely left alone for millennia in their remote part of kintan, as like many nomad communities was fed stories of epic legends of the stars being marks left by great warriors and the wisest of the nikto. His parents had died by one of the many dangerous predators on kintan, so he was raised by the community.
His early life was simple, being part of a hunter-gatherer group who lived in a small village built into the range, he was taught at a young age how to be useful to his clan, helping with hunting and gathering when he could, he was always good at adapting to the task at hand.
But one day when he was 14, nikto came to the village, saying they were envoys of the Bareesh kadijic, a once mighty Hutt clan, and that their master would be coming in a matter of days to pick out some of the population for ‘honourable servitude’ to their master, then took their leave to a confused and speechless crowd. During the next few days the clan was in hot debate over what these envoys said, they had never heard of such beings ‘kadijics’ and ‘hutts’, but they didn’t like the proposition nor them imposing their rule over them, so they prepared for combat.
So came Doremai the Hutt days later, his men armed with weapons his people had never seen before, their primitive weapons had no effect or could hold a candle to the hutts fire throwers, after they had finished with the defence, they began pulling the nikto from their homes and lining them up in the centre of the village, so Ryō stood there lined up with his clanspeople, everyone one of them scared and fearful of the unknown servitude held.
All the nikto were chosen, as by Doremai’s translator tells “they have altered the deal with their resistance”, so all the nikto were thrown on the transport to be taken to the hutts palace on Nal Hutta. Ryō then learned what this ‘honoured servitude meant’, his clanmates were put into servitude, being forced to work until death on mining and excavating the hutt’s now ruined homeworld of Kor bareesh, Ryōshuke, now called Ryōshi by his handlers, was chosen by the Hutt to provide his ‘entertainment’, saying his quick death would mildly amuse him.

He then thrown into the fightpit, with only the clothes on his back, he was told to kill whatever came through the gates, and he did, desperately killing the canine by strangling it to death with his shirt. Apparently showing promise to be a good warrior, with what he had, he was assigned a trainer and he was to train and fight if he was to live, at first he didn’t take to it, but his trainer, a Wookiee named simply Re’Jak was ‘insistent’... self titled as being the only fair person in Ryō’s life, he told him how it was to be, not to say he was nice, he beat and lashed Ryō if he made mistakes, but told Ryō this was a tough love and that every lashing would make him stronger, and that’s how it would have to be if he was to survive.
After years and years of this he did adapt and grew used to living in servitude where every day he would train himself and every other day be pitted against beasts and men for him to kill, which he learned to do with a merciless efficiency, and as he did he became unmoved by such things as taking another life. He became Doremai’s champion fighter, but even though he then lived a life of lavish, as many did when you became a hutt’s personal pet, there was still a spark of resistance, where he wanted to be free to live as he pleased, not ordered about like a docile beast, he just had to wait until the time was right...
That right time came with a new fighter, a nautolan the slavers had capture when he entered Hutt space, when they brought him in they’re cells were next to eachother, and they got talking, reluctantly at first on Ryō’s behalf, his name was Kel Sho’ran and when they weren’t fighting they’d speak long into the night, with Ryō asking questions out of mere curiosity, on the wider galaxy and kel answering, kel also liked to vent a lot bout his past life and his past love, and with weeks and months of talk, sharing philosophies and histories, Ryō could say Kel was his friend, though within months kel had lost an arm in a fight against a particularly rabid beast, and like a race animal who had broken a leg, Doremai thought it best if he were to be put down, though this was to be the hand of his finest champion, so the two were brought before Doremai and Ryō was commanded to execute Kel, his only friend, only things didn’t go that way and they fought they’re way out of his palace and onto the streets on Nal Hutta, after running, kel and him nicked a ship from a recent hunter sent to kill them, and Ryō first saw the stars from space as they travelled offworld, after a week of space travel and a lot of hyperspace jumps to throw hunters off their backs they came to the end of Hutt space where Kel said they’d part ways, kel wanted to go back to cryanokin, the planet he had left before to search for people he knew, and as such, dropped Ryō off on Delaang.

Motivation

Freedom - Ryō wishes nothing more than to be free and be able to make his own choices, as such he wishes to evade the hunters that peruse him and put a stop to them hunting him all together

Obligations

13 obligation - after escaping Doremai the hutt’s clutches, the Hutt put a bounty on his head, Ryō does not know how much it is, nor does he want to know, he just wishes to evade them as long as he can. (Resolved, now 0)

Description

Ryōshi is an orange nikto and looks as a m’shento’su’nikto would, no horns, flat covered nose and two long organic tubes that reach around the back of his neck. He has many scars from blades and claws from his previous life. He wears a long flowing cream coloured Robe that cuts off around his knees and wears an amulet around his neck, though it is always hidden from view in his robes.

Other Notes

Ryōshi is proficient in a few martial arts like stava, gravik-nez and also the less martial Keldabe kiss and kaldebe handshake

Ryōshi believes he can see his mother when he is close to death, depending on what’s happening he may see her out of the corner of his eye, feel someone touch him when no one is there, or weirdly head her voice in his head, he has never told anyone and it doesn’t always happen, only before he goes unconscious

Ryō can also understand shriiwook, due to his trainer and gladiatorial coach Re’jak being a wookiee

Ryō has a schematic for making fist weapon’s, bladed weapon’s, simple projectile weapon’s, solid projectile rifles and light armour, reducing their difficulty by 1
