Genesis Icon was born to an alcoholic and abusive mother and an absent father. Tormented by his home life, a young Genesis would often look up at the stars and dream of a better life for himself, where he was a daring space pilot with more fame and credits than he could imagine. At age 15, Genesis ran away to join a swoop gang called the “Blue Barons” in the blue sector of Corellia. He quickly showed his natural piloting talent, becoming one of the best swoop racers in the gang. He won numerous street races in his late teens. At age 18, he entered into the annual Blue Sector Swoop Championship and became the first human to win the race. His celebration was short lived however. None too pleased about being shown up by a human, a few different aliens framed Genesis for cheating. When the rival gangs found out about this “cheating” they sook revenge on him in the only way they knew how: a severe beating and possibly death if it was bad enough. Broke and desperate, he needed a way off planet. Lucky for him, he ran into a human smuggler named Hezi Rich who had seen the race and was impressed by his skills. He offered to take Genesis to Hutt Space where he was already making a delivery, and Genesis quickly accepted the offer. He quickly gathered his things from the Blue Barons safe house and bid a sad farewell to his adopted family. Despite being sad at his departure, the Blue Barons were happy to see one of their own succeed and promised he’d always be welcome in their territory. Hezi and Icon made their way to Tatooine, where they parted ways, but not before Hezi let him know that he owed him one. And with that, the story of Genesis Icon began.
