Born and raised in a tribal settlement on the edges of the arid and desolate wastelands of Zolan, Ozenku Dam was the second son of a moisture farmer. As such, he left home at an early age to go to the monastery where he would study martial arts, meditation, and the law and order of the natural universe.
His tribe practiced the religion of his region, a spirituality founded on the principle that all beings had the right to survive in the hard and unforgiving climate of Zolan. This practice of holding innocent life as sacred was upheld to its fullest by the priests who lived in the local monastery and studied the law of the universe. These priests took it as a personal mission to uphold this right, taking vows to protect the innocent from harm and to remove those that would bring harm to others. The priests also served as the local law enforcement... judge, jury, and when needed, executioner.
Ozenku was a star pupil at the monastery, excelling at every subject, especially martial arts. He gained notoriety in his classes by often sticking up for others and calling out the law when even the slightest infraction was brought to attention. Once, he even broke his own Grandmother's hand after hearing she forgot to pay for a gurba fruit at the market.
Nonetheless, he graduated early and enjoyed many years of service to his people. However, which each passing year his path of righteous fervor became more of a problem. As an overzealous protector of his people, Ozen often acted as judge, jury, and executioner - killing murderers and pirates was common in his line of work. Once, the settlement went to war with another local outpost. To protect his people, Ozen and his men wiped the outpost off the map.
When finally a time came for him to step up and become Abbott of the monastery and Chief Protector of the settlement his own seminary turned on him. Seeing that he had become a radical zealot, they invoked their vow and removed the very person that would bring harm to others: Ozenku himself.
At this he was crushed. Broken.
Having few personal belongings and having never travelled far from home, Ozenku changed his name, changed his appearance, and changed his life forever. He left Zolan and went looking for a planet, a colony, where he could start over again.
One thing did not change. He would still uphold his vows...
To protect the innocent from harm.
To remove those that would bring harm to others.
And to protect the innocent from himself.
Motivation
Rule of Law: there is nothing more important than the rule of law, and the character is sworn to protect it. As a bounty Hunter, the character is an extension of galactic law, and works to strictly uphold it.
Religion/Spirituality: The character is both drawn and follows the sway of a particular religious or spiritual calling. This could be the tenets of the Jedi or the Sith or some other belief.
Ozen follows the religion of his Clawdite tribe on Zolan which believes that the most important law of civilization and the law of the natural universe are one and the same: Innocent life is sacred. Therefore, Ozen has taken a vow to uphold the law:
Protect the innocent from harm.
Remove those that would bring harm to others.
Obligations

Keeper of the Faith: Much to many other freelancers amusement, this character has sworn to faithfully uphold both the spirit and the letter of his people's faith (see Motivation). Ozen believes very strongly in these edicts and adheres to them with religious fervor. The Character never knowingly breaks any of the rules laid down in the code, and may turn on colleagues who do so.
Description
As a shape shifting Clawdite, Ozen is chooses rarely be seen in his natural form. If he chooses to do so it will only be to gain someone's trust - which is not guaranteed once that person knows what he can do. And even though, he will only do so in order to uphold the law.
His chosen default shape, in his new life on Oogway, is that of a average human male. Ozen stands 6 foot tall with a lean athletic toned build. Bald and with a sun worn complexion, his mimicry of human skin is still developing, as the last human he studied was an old junk dealer in the sunburnt wastelands of Zolan.
He wears the clothing befitting of a bodyguard or a outer rim marshal. His armored clothing reinforced with pads on this chest, around his midsection and thighs, knees, shoulders and elbows. Ozen wears two vambracers on his forearms that conceal popout blades (assassin's creed style) he uses only when needed. An armless collared duster jacket can conceal his sword or utility belt when needed.
