Background

Darath “Dart” Eskrin. Estranged father to a presently under 10 y/o Zac Eskrin.

A gambler, a con, triggerman and thief, Dart Eskrin is an all around scoundrel from Ord Mantell who has spent his life in the pocket of Black Sun. At some point something went wrong - maybe he tried to skim off the top too many times, or his double deals with Crimson Dawn or the Hutts finally got noticed, but something went very bad and he’s now on the wrong side of the Black Sun Vigo on Ord Mantell. Wrong enough that he had to abandon his family to keep them safe. They don’t know that, and he doesn’t admit that of course - everyone just thinks he’s a self interested sleaze at best, and scum at worst - and part of his wants it that way. Better to show no weakness than be vulnerable with anyone in this Galaxy...

As to what’s motivating him right now in the moment where he some how ended up in the vicinity of the Horizon sector? No one knows... Is he plotting some kind of “big score” that will help him start to clear his name with Black Sun? Is he trying his hand at joining a pirate crew now that he's blacklisted by the biggest crime syndicate in the Outer Rim? Or is he just trying to survive another day without getting shot at the Sabaac tables or stabbed in a back alley - long enough to get back on his feet?
