Personal Gear
Emergency Medpac: (100 credits) – 1 Encumbrance Allows a character to use the Medicine skill to heal others without suffering an penalty.
Datapad: (75 credits) – 1 Encumbrance Slicing Restrictions: While a creative Game Master (GM) might let you attempt to slice into a low-security lock using just a datapad and local ingenuity (potentially taking setback dice), a datapad alone does not replace specialized Slicer Gear or Dataspikes. It is primarily a storage and interface platform rather than an aggressive hacking rig.Control Port: A datapad can be directly tethered or wirelessly linked to other computer networks, security cameras, or vehicle systems to serve as an external viewing screen or controller.Comlink Capabilities: By default, standard datapads are meant for local database storage and info-processing. To communicate remotely across a planetary network, they generally require a separate Comlink connection or custom modifications.
Scanner Goggles: (150 credits) – 0 Encumbrance When worn, scanner goggles allow the user to see normally in dark conditions. Mechanically, this means they remove all Setback dice (⬛) that a Game Master imposes on your checks due to absolute darkness.Hands-Free Advantage: Unlike bulky hand-held electrobinoculars or general-purpose scanners, goggles leave your hands completely free. This allows you to scale walls, sneak, or keep your hands on a blaster rifle while maintaining enhanced vision.
Handheld Comlink: (25 credits) – 0 Encumbrance Planetary Range: A standard handheld comlink allows clear, two-way audio communication with any other comlink on the same planet.Orbit to Surface: It can reliably send and receive signals between the planet's surface and vessels waiting in a low orbit.System/HyperSpace Limits: It cannot communicate across an entire star system or through hyperspace. For interstellar messaging, characters must hook into a massive planetary Subspace Transceiver or use a ship's long-range communication array.

The character’s system is fully saturated.
