<Duty>
Intelligence: gathering data on Separatist operations, assets, and movements.
<Motivation>
Freedom: The desire to see Onderon freed from Separatist occupation led Dracish to the GAR and the 66th Ashen Legion. How to free her from the Republic once the war is over is another matter.
Secondary Motivation: The Little Guy. A sense of frustration that the average being was getting trampled and abused by the greed of the corporations and the Trade Federation while the callous bureaucracy of the Republic did nothing and the Jedi watched with cold detachment led Dracish to argue with elders in the Order. He is always willing to help the downtrodden and administer a swift butt-kick for justice (as he sees it).

Backstory - A Padawan created by Alenar Rumanev
Dracish was born on Onderon to a well respected and affluent family who could trace their lineage back to the legendary beast-riders. Because of Onderon's fierce sense of independence and distance out on the rim, he was not tested for Force Sensitivity as an infant and only chance encounter with a Jedi party at the age of 5 (far older than most young-lings) set him on the path to becoming a Padawan. As a result, he retained several formative memories of his childhood and homeworld.
Dracish was anything but a model pupil; his headstrong and curious nature constantly led him into trouble with his masters. Always asking why led to disciplinary trouble at the Jedi Temple and a growing suspicion that the Jedi Order followed many traditions simply because they were tradition. He began to harbor several views that might be considered borderline heretical to the Order: that beyond advancing the general well-being of all life in the universe, the Force had no particular will, inclination, or morality (and that beings superimposed their beliefs and constructs onto the Force), that ascribing particular individual coincidences to "the will of the Force" was to risk arrogance and self-importance, and that the Jedi risked arrogance, detachment, and blindness because of their zealous adherence to these traditions at the expense of understanding and emphasizing with the beings they were supposed to serve.
As Dracish grew older and more fluent in the current politics of the Jedi and the Republic, he grew more and more dismayed. He became known for sparking doctrinal and political debates during training and classes and for enduring several penances because of his outspokenness. Despite his growing abilities, he was repeatedly passed over for Knighthood and by his 30s it was whispered that soon he might face exile and banishment from the Order. It was then that the War intervened...
News of the breach of Onderon's neutrality and its occupation by the Separatists led Dracish to volunteer for the GAR and his assignment to the 66th Ashen Legion. Cynical whispering also muttered that maybe the War would relieve the Order of a problem, or at least provide lessons in wisdom...
OOC tl;dr - What would happen if you tried to make a (slightly less brain-damaged) personality like Minsc into a Padawan...
