So now here I am, running about the universe, doing what they wished for me to, seeing the beauty of it all"
Chikki's little go to speech when people ask him about himself is technically true, there are a few important details he elects to leave out. Chikki was found in the snow yes, but he was, more importantly, found in the wreckage of a Starship. Chikki Tea-ta was not his original name either, as in his crash, Chikki lost a huge deal of his memories, and while a good few returned with time, to this day, a majority of his time preceding the accident is gone.
The philanthropists that found Chikki are the ones who gave him his new name and rather quickly adopted him, taking a liking to feeling like saviors and also to charming Chikki himself. They nursed him back to health in a luxury hotel room before just as quickly leaving their vacation as arriving, abandoning Chikki like he was part of their amenities. And so Chikki stayed, in the bedazzled and lie ridden tourist industry finding a home and a talent for sitting at gambling tables.
Chikki has spent the last 12 years travelling the galaxy as a gambler and living life to the utmost extent.
